The Transform Learning Community is an exciting new opportunity for CSU students and will launch starting Fall 2022.
The Transform Residential Learning Community brings together students of diverse identities and backgrounds to connect, engage in dialogues, and learn across differences. Students in Transform will build relationships, skills, awareness, and knowledge that prepare them to take action for social justice and become inclusive leaders on campus and beyond.
Participation in this community is application based. Students who are accepted must enroll in courses with other Transform students, live together in Parmelee Hall, and take part in various social and educational opportunities, programs, and events.
What is Transform?
Transform gives students the unique opportunity to be in a community with peers from diverse backgrounds and to learn about others’ different experiences, identities, and perspectives.
The Transform Learning Community incorporates elements of intergroup dialogue. This community fosters awareness, relationships, and understanding both within and beyond the classroom setting. Students will become more aware of their own identities and values as well as others’. They will also build skills needed to communicate and cooperate across diverse groups.
This is the community for you if you have the desire to learn, live, and dialogue with others!
